Road Trip 2001

A Frank Lloyd Wright Prarie House

After Ann Arbor I drove on to Chicago where I stayed with my Aunt Ellen and Uncle Ed. On my first full day there Ellen and I went into Park Forest to see the Frank Lloyd Wright house and studio, and many of his early Prarie homes.

New Counter

This is the new counter top I helped my uncle Ed install. It was a lot easier than it looks.

Ellen and Ed's home

This is Aunt Ellen and Uncle Ed's home. My car is on the left. I had driven all the way from Boston to Chicago!

Travelling Companion

My travelling companion, and faithfull steed. Note the ham radio antenna on the back deck.

Hippo's everywhere

My Aunt Ellen collects Hippo's. They can be found everywhere around the house.

Chicago Cousins

On my second day in Chicago Paul flew out from Boston to join me on the rest of my journey. On my third day in Chicago we went and visited some cousins. These are their kids.

Paul

This is Paul while visiting the Chicago cousins. To the left you can see my "day bag" which went everywhere with me on this trip.

Rock & Roll Museum

After Chicago Paul and I drove to Cleveland, where his mom was having surgery. One day while she was recovering in the hospital, Paul, his brother David and I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. They did not let me take pictures inside.

Rock and Roll Museum

We closed out the museum (it was great) and then visited the gift shop where we bought a teddy bear for Paul's mom Elizabeth (note the bear in the bag Paul is holding).

Frank Gehry Bldg

In Cleveland I was excited to discover a Frank Gehry building under construction at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).
